What to do when your computer-based test equipment needs an update

Much of your special test equipment has a computer at its core.  By now, you’re painfully aware of the usual drill: technology advances and system upgrades are required.  What do you do?  Buy a whole new doodad?  Replace the computer?  Ignore the main problem, “tape an aspirin to it” and just run it till it drops?

We’ve worked in eye care technology for more than 25 years.  The call we dread the most is “my computer just died, how soon can you replace it?”  We will do our best to respond promptly, but you and I will both be stressed, and there will probably be overnight shipping involved in the solution.  The announcement we dread the most is “Microsoft announces End-of-Support date for Windows.”  We know what a painful interruption it can be to have to upgrade your system, even though it’s working fine.  We know you would rather work under the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy for as long as you can.

Some companies want you to throw away everything and buy an entirely new instrument.  Others have embedded the computer into the instrument and want ten grand plus your firstborn child to send a tech to install a new computer in the thing.

When you purchase an EyeRes system, it’s an investment.  Now we’ve come up with a system continuity plan that can protect your investment and dramatically extend the life of your imaging system.

Infinite Imaging.

What is Infinite Imaging?  It’s an Extended Warranty, a Service Plan, and an Upgrade Plan, rolled into one.  The Extended Warranty component means we will take care of any defects in materials or workmanship.  The Service Plan covers component failures, while the Upgrade Plan lets us replace components when we predict that they are nearing the end of their service life. It allows us to proactively take care of your EyeRes system, without having to wait for something to fail that results in downtime for your exam room.  It allows you to have a regular, predictable operating cost.

When you add Infinite Imaging to an EyeRes system, we keep your systems running as smoothly as possible. You never have to worry about unbudgeted upgrade costs.
