Director of Product Development
Mr. Kent F. Harris, Director of Product Development, joined Micro-Med in 1994. He has a Master of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois. He has 20+ years of experience in design and development of technical software for medical applications, including projects in processing and statistical modeling of retinal images.joined Micro-Med in 1994. Mr. Wesley M. Harris
Vice President
Mr. Wesley M. Harris,Vice President, left AT&T’s Bell Labs to join Micro-Med in 1991. While at Bell Labs, he worked as a data communications systems engineer in a product development department. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and served on the Board of Directors of the Louisville Advanced Technology Council from 1992-1994.
Dr. Patrick D. Harris
Founder, President, and CEO
Dr. Patrick D. Harris is the founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Micro-Med, Inc. He has 35+ years of experience as a medical researcher, including 13 years as the Chairman of the Physiology Department at the University of Louisville, where he grew the department from less than $200,000 to over $1.2 million annually in medical research funding. Dr. Harris has been a long-term scientific advisor for several organizations, including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Medical Research Council of Canada, the International Advisory Council for the Asian Union of Microcirculation, and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He has a Ph.D. in Physiology from Northwestern University and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
